Melbourne: India A fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni has been fined 25 percent of his match fee for breaching ICC code of conduct during his side`s 57-run victory over Australia A in the Quadrangular series final at Ray Mitchell Oval in Mackay.
The 27-year-old was found to have breached Article 2.1.7, which relates to using language or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batsman upon his dismissal.
The incident took place when Kulkarni was seen giving an ugly send-off to Australia A opener Kurtis Patterson after dismissing him at mid-wicket, cricket.com.au reported.The fast-bowler, who was one of India A`s best players throughout the tournament, accepted the fine and, therefore, no hearing was required.
India A will now take on Australia A in two four-day matches at Allan Border Field, starting on Thursday at Brisbane.
