2017 Assembly Elections: Virender Sehwag's record in threat; Narendra Modi hits yet another triple hundred
Sehwag became the first India to hit a triple hundred in Test cricket in 2004, when he hit 309 in Multan against Pakistan. He followed the feat with another triple hundred, 319 against South Africa in 2008 in Chennai.

New Delhi: In India, cricket and electoral politics dominate the daily discourse. With India playing a protracted series against old rivals Australia and voting rites hitting a crescendo in four states, cricket and election became staple diet for majority of the Indians this week.
But a certain Virender Sehwag, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emerged as the undisputed king in social media on Saturday after counting of votes concluded. Once trends started emerging as early as 11:00 AM IST in the morning, talks of Modi hitting yet another triple century dominated the online discourse.
In the 2014 general elections, Modi helped Bharatiya Janata Party and its National Democratic Alliance to a landslide victory, hitting 336.
But today, BJP alone crossed that magical 300-mark, and for the second time, Modi has got a triple hundred against his name. And soon, Twitterati started comparing Modi to Sehwag, the only Indian to have scored two triple hundreds in Test cricket.
With it's allinces, BJP will form a new government in the key Hindi heartland state of Uttar Pradesh. They will have 325+ seats in the 403-member assembly. Here are some of the juiciest tweets:
