Raipur: Two Naxals, allegedly involved in the firing at a police camp in Chhattisgarh's Kondagaon district last week, were arrested today, police said.
The two, identified as Arjun Singh Korram (26) and Hariram Korram (29), were apprehended from the forest near Hadeli village under Mardapal police station limits, Kondagaon Additional Superintendent of Police Maheshwar Nag told PTI.
The two were active as janmilitia members and were allegedly part of the "small action team" of Maoists that had opened fire at the newly set up police camp in Hadeli on December 6, he said.
Nag said that the rebels had escaped into the forests after a brief exchange of fire on that day adding that head constable Komal Khalko, belonging to the District Reserve Guard (DRG), had sustained bullet injuries.
