New Delhi: The Urban Development Ministry on Monday received a list of 15 cities for proposals of the Smart City plan with Rajasthan and Karnataka submitting as many as four cities for development.

The list for the Smart City plan in 15 cities comes from six states and the Union Territory of Puducherry.

Given below is the list of the 15 cities for the proposal of developing into Smart City.

• Ajmer (Rajasthan)

• Jaipur (Rajasthan)

• Kota (Rajasthan)

• Udaipur (Rajasthan)

• Jalandhar (Punjab)

• Ranchi (Jharkhand)

• Kochi (Kerala)

• New Town Kolkata (West Bengal)

• Bidhannagar (West Bengal)

• Durgapur (West Bengal)

• Davanagere (Karnataka)

• Tumakuru (Karnataka)

• Hubli-Dharwad (Karnataka)

• Shimoga (Karnataka)

• Oulgaret (Puducherry)
