London: Angelina Jolie graces the cover of December 5 edition of Newsweek, in the most glamorous pose the 78-year-old publication has ever witnessed.
It’s a real coup for the stunning 36-year-old actress, who has worked tirelessly in her capacity as a UN ambassador to bring aid to some of the poorest and war-stricken territory on the globe.
In the magazine the actress discusses her upcoming film ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’, which she directed, which is set in 1990 wartime Bosnia. In her 60 Minutes interview on Sunday, Jolie revealed that she plans to do another war film focusing on Afghanistan. ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’ opens on December 23 and Jolie’s Newsweek cover hits newsstands on Dec 5. “I was thinking and meditating on these international themes of violence against women, lack of intervention and how human beings are changed and warped by war and how some people come out stronger and some people are truly broken,” the Daily Mail quoted the ‘Tomb Raider’ star as telling the publication.
