New Delhi: Apple CEO Tim Cook's started his maiden trip to India with visit to Mumbai's famous Shree Siddhivinayak Temple, as per news report.
The Indian Express has reported that Cook took “his time off from his busy schedule” to visit Shree Siddhivinayak Temple and was accompanied by Apple India head Sanjay Kaul and a few other Apple executives.
The Express also reported that Cook met Reliance Industries chief Mukesh Ambani's son Anant Ambani at the temple.
The Junior Ambani pays frequent visits to Shree Siddhivinayak Temple.
Cook's visit to India comes at a crucial time as the iPhone maker seeks to cash in on the "huge potential" in the world's second largest smartphone market.
Apple will set up an app design and development centre in Bengaluru to support developers in India creating innovative mobile apps for its iOS platform.
The announcement comes as part of the visit of Apple chief Tim Cook to India. Cook, who arrived in the country last night, is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials as part of his trip.
