New Delhi: You Tube may go paid soon. Don't be disheartened! Not the entire content, but the new one which will be posted as part of the subscription service which the largest video site proposes to launch.
According to industry sources, You Tube is readying programmes which will only be available to people who join its upcoming subscription services.
YouTube is expected to announce more details about the programming at an event in Los Angeles on October 21.
According to reports, You Tube has told media companies that it plans to charge consumers around $10 a month for a bundle of YouTube’s vast sea of video content and music.
YouTube will continue to operate a free, ad-supported version of the site. The video site also said that the freely available videos will also be available on its paid version. The site is planning to tap on the revenue prospects would like all video-makers who make money from YouTube ads to participate in the subscription service as well.
