Nupur files Rs 10 cr defamation case against British daily!

Zeenews Bureau Mumbai: Nupur Mehta is using the latest match fixing controversy in the best of her interest. Latest reports confirm that the starlet plans to sue the British daily which featured her blurred pic with a match fixing report for nothing less than Rs 10 crore! Crying foul about the published report and claiming that the news maligned her image to a considerable extend, Nupur Mehta seems hell bent to make things even with the tabloid. Revealing the course of action, Nupur’s lawyer, Gaurang Kanth said that they will first send a legal notice to the newspaper and after that will file a civil and criminal defamation case based on the morphed image of his client within a fortnight. To a leading daily, Kanth said, “The legal brief is ready on the basis of which a notice will be sent tomorrow to The Sunday Times London tabloid… case will go in the court after their reply comes from London, claiming for Rs. 10 cr for defamation. The amount can be increased after the strength in the legal proceedings in the court of law. Another case is filed by lawyer Mr. Saini in London in the civil court of UK.” Meanwhile, there are reports that Nupur Mehta is being considered for a place in the next season of popular reality show Bigg Boss!
