Arjun Kapoor makes dad Boney wait in the queue

Mumbai: New star Arjun Kapoor is enjoying all the positive responses he is getting for his debut performance in ‘Ishaqzaade’. Offers have already started pouring for this actor who made his debut opposite Parineeti Chopra in the Yash Raj film.
One such offer has also come from Arjun’s dad, producer Boney Kapoor who has found the perfect script for his son. But due to the three film contract that YRF has made Arjun sign, Boney just like others, will have to wait to work with his son.
Speaking to a tabloid, a source said that Boney has always wanted to cast Arjun but was waiting for the right script.
“Arjun was often asked why his father didn’t launch him. And he had maintained that more than a launch, it was more about the right script and right team for his father to make the film with him. A few days ago, the producer came up with the concept for a film. It’s a contemporary romance saga,” said the source.
“Considering that Ishaqzaade opened with over Rs 5 crore on Friday, producer Aditya Chopra is keen to start their next production with Arjun soon. So Boney’s film is scheduled to start only in the first half of next year, after Arjun’s second film with the Chopras,” added the source.
Arjun’s next film will have his ‘Ishaqzaade’ heroine, Parineeti Chopra, and will be directed by Pradeep Sarkar.
“There’s also another script, which will be helmed by Shimit Amit. By the month-end, things will be finalised, as to which will be his next film”, the source said.
