New Delhi: Pune boy Jasraj Joshi won the singing reality show `Sa Re Ga Ma Pa` after beating three contestants Vishwajeet Borwankar, Shehnaaz Akhtar and Mohammad Aman.
Jasraj, who is famous for his fusion style of singing on the show, says he is nervous and excited about what lies ahead and also wants to try his luck in Bollywood.
"I am happy and nervous. The four month long journey has finally ended and it feels like I am on a holiday now. But I realise that my journey has just begun. Though I have won the show, I have still a lot to achieve.
"The show has given me a recognition, people today know my name and I hope it will help me to get some good offers in Bollywood so that I can prove myself even more," Jasraj told PTI.
Being on the Zee TV show has helped Jasraj turn into a professional singer and understand the nuances of singing.
"When we started off we were raw material. All the grooming done by our mentors has helped us take this art more seriously. I have learnt a lot on the show," he said.
A B.Com graduate, Jasraj says he does not plan to study further and did his graduation only for having a degree.
"I have no plans of further studies, I did my graduation only for the sake of a degree. I have always been interested in music and plan to make a career out of it," he said.
About his unique style of singing, he says that though he was afraid to be known as a "different singer" but he is enjoying it now.
"I have always experimented with my style of singing. At first, I was afraid if I would be accepted but after seeing that people are liking it, I got immense confidence in me."
