Salman Khan is being considered for a Hollywood flick that was earlier offered to the veteran.

Mumbai: None could have predicted that someone who was rejected by the All India Radio for having “a very heavy voice” would rule Bollywood as a superstar someday. Best known for his stellar performances and a macho voice, Amitabh Bachchan won hearts worldwide and played narrator in a number of films in a career spanning over three decades.
But illness seems to have put a break in Big B’s career, at least for the moment. Buzz has it that Salman Khan is being considered for a Hollywood flick that was earlier offered to the veteran. Talking to DNA, an industry insider said, “The makers were extremely keen to get Bachchan on board as the narrator for the Hindi version. He had accepted the offer too, but unfortunately the sudden dip in his health condition just left everyone stumped. However, Big B being a thorough professional apparently asked the makers to not delay their work because of his ill-health. He suggested they go ahead with some one else for the narrator’s voice over, as the film releases soon.” “Salman is being approached for the part in John Carter. The actor however isn’t been able to seal the deal as he is currently in Cuba, shooting for ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and things will be clear once he is back to the city, end of this month,” added the source. The industry insiders are of the opinion that the Hollywood producer wants to capitalize on Salman’s Box Office success. “Be it an action film like ‘Wanted’ or a mad comedy like ‘Ready’, Salman can make anything work with his sheer screen presence. And currently he is at the top, so if the makers are trying to rope him for doing the narrator’s voice over, it is not really a surprise. Also since Salman has good base in his voice, he will also suit the part,” said insiders.
