Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan won the favourite actor award at the 18th Lions Gold Awards ceremony here, while Priyanka Chopra was named the favourite actress.
However, neither the superstar nor Priyanka were present to collect their awards at the ceremony held here Wednesday.
However, Rani Mukerji, who won an award for her role in "No One Killed Jessica", walked the red carpet at the event and came on stage to collect her trophy.
Interestingly, in the music department, the Lions Awards, which recognises and felicitates outstanding contributions of stars from the showbiz and other fields, honoured both singer Sonu Niigaam and his four-year-old son Neevan.
While Sonu won the favourite evergreen singer award, his son was declared the favourite child singer for his version of "Kolaveri Di".
"It`s a great feeling. It`s Nevaan`s first award," said an elated sonu.
The evening saw the presence of known stars like R. Madhavan, Bappi Lahri, Milan Luthria and Rohit Shetty, among others.
