Chennai: Kamal Haasan’s latest, ‘Vishwaroopam’, that faced a ban in Tamil Nadu, and several other states was released in Kerala on Friday.
The film garnered rave reviews from viewers in the state and if the latest buzz is anything to go by, then people are earnestly waiting for the film to release across the nation.
On Friday, superstar Rajinikanth had extended support to his friend Kamal Haasan by humbly requesting the Muslim community to let the actor release the film. The Madras High court had however, rejected Haasan’s plea and stayed the film till January 28.
After Rajinikanth, his son-in-law Dhanush has expressed awe on Kamal’s fan following and their desperate attempts to watch the controversy stricken film.
Dhanush, who rose to the status of a youth icon following the popularity of his number ‘Kolaveri Di’, took to Twitter to write, “Heard pple r travelling 2 kerala,karnataka nd overseas 2 watch vishwaroopam. hats off 2 u guys 4 d support u r showin 2 a true artiste`s work (sic).”
