Babies right after marriage is a mistake: Nikki Reed

Los Angeles: ‘Twilight’ star Nikki Reed says she and her ‘American Idol’ alum husband Paul McDonald want kids "one day," but definitely not any time soon. The 24-year-old actress tied the knot in November last year and said she is not willing to become a mother yet, reported a magazine. "Maybe I`m wrong, but I feel like it`s a mistake for people to get married and then just have kids right away. I feel like it is the pressure of the family making them do it. We want to travel and be able to fly on an airplane without a baby and just have freedom," said Reed. Apart from their own personal choice not to dive right into parenthood, the couple doesn`t have the time although they try to stay together as much as they can. McDonald would sometimes go to the set with Reed and she would also sometimes accompany him to the studio. "It`s been a little stressful [lately] because it`s been so busy. Paul`s been recording his album full time, and I`ve been shooting, so we`re both very busy right now," said Reed. PTI
