I apologise to those who`ve not been invited to Kareena’s wedding: Randhir Kapoor

Zeenews Bureau Mumbai: Being a gracious host, Randhir Kapoor has apologized to those who have not been invited to his daughter Kareena Kapoor’s wedding to Saif Ali Khan. The couple, who have been dating for the past five years are going to be tying the knot on 16 October amidst close friends and family members. Amidst all the wedding preparations, Randhir Kapoor spoke to a daily and stated that, he would have invited the “whole world” if he had his way. “As much as Babita, me and the entire Kapoor family would like to have a reception party, we have to respect the sentiment of the couple who are marrying. Kareena and Saif want to have a small, private wedding, and only the immediate relatives of the Kapoors and the Khans, and friends close to my children have been invited. I would personally like to say sorry to those who`ve not been invited to the wedding,” said Kapoor. “The bigger reception in Delhi has been organised by Saif`s mother, a lot of politicians will be attending that one as Sharmilaji is very well-connected politically. I just want Kareena`s fans to pray that she remains happy in her marriage,” added Randhir. Kapoor also mentioned that the wedding is going to be a private affair and there will be registered marriage in Mumbai followed by a gala reception in Delhi. “There is not much planning as it is going to be a quiet wedding. The registered marriage will take place here and the reception in Delhi. If I had my way, I would`ve had a big bash and invited the whole world. But kids of today are different and have their own mindset. Besides, it would`ve been chaotic with the crowd and media hype,” said Randhir. Five Star hotels in Delhi and Mumbai have been booked from 13th October onwards and preparations for the Sangeet function are on full swing. The couple will get married on 16 October and will have two receptions-one in Delhi and the other in Mumbai.
