New Delhi: After touching a new low of 3.66 percent in August, retail inflation rose to 4.41 percent in the month of September on the back of higher prices of vegetables and fruits especially onion and pulses.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) based retail inflation for the month of September 2014 had stood at 6.46 percent, which was the lowest since the new series of Consumer Price Index was released in January 2012.
