Wills-Kat to take legal action against French mag over topless pics

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to take legal action against the French magazine that published topless photographs of Kate.

London: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to take legal action against the French magazine that published topless photographs of Kate.
The royal couple were “furious” after being briefed about the embarrassing pictures and looking at a pixellated version of one snap showing Kate in a bikini about to remove her top on the website of French magazine Closer, which published more explicit images inside the magazine.
Royal officials were not sure overnight if the images were genuine but soon realised they were after the magazine appeared on the streets of Paris. “The couple are furious. A red line has been crossed here,” the Daily Express quoted one royal source as saying. “We`re consulting with French lawyers about possible next steps. “They were told over breakfast and they have looked at the website. Their reaction was as you would expect,” the source said. The source immediately raised comparisons with the pursuit of Princess Diana by French paparazzi that led to her death in 1997. “It’s disappointing. It’s very saddening and it turns the clock back 15 years,” he said. According to Closer, the photographs taken while the couple were sunbathing on a terrace by a swimming pool during a four-day holiday last week at a chateau in Provence, southern France, owned by the Queen’s nephew Viscount Linley.
