Mumbai: Sonu Niigaam started singing at the age of three and he feels that if a child shows interest in any art form at a very tender age, he should be trained for it.
"If kids start following a particular art form at a young age, then it helps them. Even I have been singing ever since I was 3-and-half years old. This is the best time to learn something," the 38-year-old singer said here at the Lions Gold Award function where both he and his four-year-old son were honoured.
Sonu`s son Neevan made headlines with his version of `Kolavari Di` recently.
"I have a video of his when he was eight-month-old. But he is very naughty, he also dances very well and is even good at playing cricket," said Sonu, who is known for songs like "Kal ho na ho", `Main hoon na`, `Jashn-e-bahara`, `Saathiya`.
He has also sung "Abhi mujh mein kahin" and "Swapnil Pawar" for new version of `Agneepath`, which releases Jan 26.
