London: A cosmetic enhancement clinic has revealed that the number of women seeking to enhance their brows has surged in recent months over all and even more notably every time Duchess Kate appears in public.
Harley Street’s Specialist Make-Up Services has seen a 200 percent spike in interest for their Power Brow semi-permanent make-up treatment.
The clinic has reported that it has had one of the busiest weeks in recent years and is now fully booked till March, the Daily Mail reported.
Given that the Duchess of Cambridge’s brows are an iconic part of her groomed look, the clinic says that the Power Brow treatment adds depth, thickness, shape and a darker colour to the brow.
According to specialist Make-up Services owner and top beautician Debra Robson, the phone has been ringing off the hook and the clinic has been inundated with requests from women wanting to get the Kate Middleton look.
Robson also said that they have had three times as many bookings this January compared with last year, and the demand has increased following the Duchess’ birthday when there was lots of publicity on her.
She added that clients are always shocked at how the results have completely transformed their face.
The Power Brow is a semi-permanent make-up treatment that works by replicating the appearance of hairs through clinical tattooing.
Firstly there is a consultation with the technician to determine what the client would like to achieve, brows are drawn onto the face and any stray hairs are removed.
The pigment is then matched to the natural shade of the brow and a client’s natural colouring which includes skin tone and hair colour. The pigment is then injected into the top layer of the skin.
The 760-pound treatment can last for several months.
