Ahmedabad: Actors Ajay Devgan and Sonakshi Sinha promoted their forthcoming romantic comedy film ‘Son of Sardar’ in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The film stars Ajay Devgn, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles.
Devgan said the film is a complete ``Bollywood masala`` film, which will entertain the masses and the family audience who come to the theatres.
“‘Son of Sardar’ is not just a comedy action film. It`s a complete package, which is the demand of the audience. It has action, emotion, drama, romance and comedy, so it`s full entertainment.”
Movie revolves around the protagonist Devgan, who returning to his parents`` village becomes the latest target in a long-standing family feud.
According to media reports, the film is a remake of Telugu movie Maryada Ramanna, which in itself is a remake of the 1923 American silent movie Our Hospitality.
Devgan said he is confident that the audience would love the film, as it is a blend of action and comedy with a romantic flavour.
"Both the films are releasing on the same day, but we are more concerned about the release of our film. We have full confidence on our film and I am sure that the audience would love the film," said Devgan.
The film is directed by Ashwni Dhir, who directed Hindi comedy movie ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge’ (2010).
Lyrics of the film are written by Sameer Anjaan and music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya, who is popularly known as powerhouse of music among his fans in India.
Reshammiya rose to fame with the hit music of Bollywood romantic drama ‘Tere Naam’ (2003).
The film is slated to release on the occasion of Hindu festival Diwali that falls on November 13, 2012.
