Family is my priority now, says Tara Sharma

Tara Sharma says she is no longer keen on going for long outdoor shoots and only takes up projects that allow her to be around her kids.

New Delhi: Actress Tara Sharma says she is no longer keen on going for long outdoor shoots and only takes up projects that allow her to be around her kids.
The 36-year-old actress, who has starred in acclaimed films like `Page 3` and `Khosla Ka Ghosla`, is married to ad film producer Roopak Saluja and has two sons, three-year-old Zen and Kai, 1.
"Though I am a working mother, I like to be near my children. I can`t go on outdoor shoots for 40 days at a stretch as I would be constantly worried about my children. I want to be around my children and work as well. So it is difficult to work in films now," Tara told PTI. Last year, the actress was seen in a small budget romantic comedy titled `10ml Love`, but the film could not generate much buzz. "It was a small budget film, in spite of having good content, it did not have enough budget to do the right amount of publicity and promote their film," she said. Tara is back to hosting the second season of her TV show - `The Tara Sharma Show - Ek Nayi Ma Ka Safar.` The actress has conceptualised, written and co-produced the show. In this season, she will highlight issues like the bond of siblings, the journey of bringing up a new-born and toddler, as well as travelling with kids to locations like London, Thailand and Cannes. "I am the creator of the show. I am the writer and the producer. So, I am very careful about the fact that my children are not over exposed. I only show what I want to show and what is comfortable for my children. It is a very homely atmosphere. The cameraman is someone who has seen my kids since birth. My children are very safe and secure," she added. The show airs every Sunday morning on Colors and also on Nick. PTI
