Delhi: That John Abraham and Bipasha Basu have had a much-publicised split is common knowledge among all circles by now. While Basu has always blamed John for the break-up, reports have now surfaced that the actress might actually be the one who was behind the same.
In what might be the first time someone has stood by John and blamed Bipasha for the break-up, a friend of the actor has revealed to a website the nitty-gritty of the affair. Many fingers have been pointed at Basu regarding her relation with Hollywood actor Josh Hartnett during the filming of ‘Singularity’, in which the two have acted together.
“John and Bipasha had parted ways much before the split became public. The relationship was on the rocks for many years and before the actual break-up, they had gone their separate ways a dozen times and later patched up. The relationship could be best termed as unstable,” reveals the source.
Ever since he parted ways with Bipasha, John has been dating investment banker Priya Runchal. Apparently, it was then that Basu chose to go public with the split and accused her ex-boyfriend with cheating on her.
“Shortly after news broke that John was involved with someone from outside the industry, Bipasha used the media to accuse him of cheating, which has deeply hurt and saddened him,” adds the insider.
While Bipasha has always been vocal about her break-up, John had chosen to be quiet about it as far as the media is concerned. However, people close to him claim that the actor hasn’t taken his ex’s allegations in a good light. Sources have also stated that John wants to move on with his life and wants Bipasha also to do the same.
