Madhuri Dixit to celebrate her birthday in US

Zeenews Bureau Mumbai: The firebrand actress, the dhak dhak girl – Madhuri Dixit, who has ruled a million hearts with her infectious charm and elegant dancing for decades, turns 45 today. After having stayed in US for nine years post marriage, the actress returned to Mumbai recently. Apparently, she has chosen to get away from the hustle-bustle of the city on her special day and have a quiet celebration with her friends and acquaintances in Denver, US. Talking to DNA, her manager informed, “She and her family left for the US last week. She’ll be celebrating her birthday with them there. As her children are on vacation around this time of the year, she didn’t want to let go of the time to spend with them before they resumed school. Besides, once she’s back, she too will get busy with her film and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’s shoots.” Her manager added, “Besides spending time with her family, she will also be catching up with close friends there. US has, after all, been home for her for almost nine years. Even though it’s her birthday today, she’s sure to keep it low-key — just celebrating with family rather than a big bash here. She plans to be back to the city by the end of the month.” Starring in over a 100 films, Madhuri has proved her acting prowess with films such as ‘Mrityudand’, ‘Pukar’, ‘Lajja’ and ‘Devdas’. She has won 5 Filmfare awards and was also honored with a Padma Shri in 2008 for her contribution to Indian Cinema. Madhuri made her Bollywood debut with `Abodh` in 1984, but gained recognition through her portrayal of a dancer in `Tezaab`. We wish her a very Happy Birthday!
