‘Why was I in focus when Rekha took oath?’

Zeenews Bureau New Delhi: Politics seems to have entered Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan’s personal sphere, in the literal sense, as she is peeved with the Rajya Sabha TV coverage while actress Rekha was taking oath as a member of the upper house. The Samajwadi Party MP complained to Rajya Sabha chairman and Vice President Hamid Ansari about her being focused frequently by the state run channel while Rekha was taking oath. The Samajwadi Party MP told Ansari that she felt hurt by the way Rajya Sabha TV kept cutting to her when Rekha was taking oath. Following her complain, Ansari called Rajya Sabha TV CEO and asked him to explain about the footage. Jaya Bachchan is the wife of Bollywood superstar Amitah Bachchan. The legendary star was reportedly having an affair with Rekha in the 1970s, and hence all the animosity!
