London: ‘Shameless’ star Jody Latham was left heartbroken after Tulisa Contostavlos dumped him to date footballer Danny Simpson.
The shattered actor confessed to friends that he felt “like an idiot” after the ‘X-Factor’ judge ended their romance to date Simpson.
“He thought he had a future with Tulisa,” the Sun quoted the friend as saying.
“She said she wanted to get married and have children in the near future. They spent a week together in secret in her flat in London and barely left each other’s sides.
“She was vulnerable when she wasn’t on the TV and he wanted to protect her,” the friend said.
The source said that Latham would have done anything for Tulisa - but then she just turned cold on him.
“From getting 30 text messages a day from her, he suddenly started to get only a couple.
“And then she went to Manchester and said she was staying in with friends so she couldn’t meet up with him. Jody is gutted, he feels like an idiot,” the friend said.
Tulisa first met Jody on October 9 when he played her on-screen boyfriend in the video for new single ‘Sight Of You.’
