Anil Kapoor, Sushma Reddy, Sameera Reddy, Madhur Bhandarkar, Boney Kapoor, Ashutosh Gowariker, Satish Kaushik, Amol Gupte, Farah Khan and DJ Aqeel were among those who flocked to see ‘Skyfall’.
‘Skyfall’ is directed by Sam Mendes, Produced by Michael G Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, written by John Logan, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, stars Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Albert Finney among others.
Elated to see the premiere of Skyfall, actress Sameera Reddy said she has always been a James Bond fan.
"James is, I think 50 years old. He looks like he is forever young. I am extremely happy because I have always been a James Bond fan, and, there is no way, I would have missed Daniel Craig tonight," said Reddy.
The music of the film is composed by Thomas Newman ‘Skyfall’and sung by English singer Adele Laurie Blue Adkins.
Inspired with the value of James Bond, Bollywood director Amol Gupte said that he has grown up watching Bond movies and is agog to see ‘Skyfall’.
"Bond movies, I have grown on Bond and I have grown on the values, of the styles, of the shake hands, and of course, I am a mad fan of Daniel Craig and it is a Mendes movie, so all in all, it is a win-win situation," said Gupte.
Reportedly, ‘Skyfall’ set the record for the biggest UK weekend box office takings of any James Bond film, its producers said on Monday.
The 23rd official cinematic adventure of the suave, but brutal 007, earned 20.1 million pounds after opening last Friday at 587 cinemas across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Bollywood director Boney Kapoor hoped that the ‘Skyfall’ would be as good as other Bond films.
"Most of the Bond films, it has been a pleasure to watch. The thrill is the same, it gets better and better and I hope this is even better than the last few Bond films that I have seen," said Kapoor.
The film, which had its royal world premiere in London last week and opens in the United States on November 09, brings together Daniel Craig on his third outing on Her Majesty`s secret service with British director Sam Mendes making his franchise debut.
The plot also puts veteran actress Judi Dench, 77, at the heart of the action as Bond`s boss M, and introduces Spanish Oscar-winner Javier Bardem as a flamboyant villain complete with dyed blond hair.
Marking 50 years after the first Bond film ‘Dr. No’ premiered in London in 1962, Skyfall has been hailed by the critics as a triumphant return to form after 2008`s tepidly received ‘Quantum of Solace’.
