Britney Spears’ fiance becomes her co-conservator

Washington: Britney Spears’ fiance Jason Trawick has been officially approved to become her new conservator and will join her father as the caretaker of her finances, a U.S. report has revealed. The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker’s father was placed in charge of her legal and business affairs in 2008 following the singer’s much-publicised breakdown and hospitalisation, Contactmusic reported. Last month (Mar12) Trawick, under the behest of Jamie, petitioned for co-conservatorship duties as part of the reported process to gradually transfer control of the estate back to the singer. “Jamie is thrilled,” the New York Daily News quoted Jamie Spears’ lawyer Geraldine Wyle as saying after the closed-door afternoon hearing. “It’s all in the family,” Wyle said. According to Wyle, it was the 30-year-old singer who requested that Trawick take the reins. In his new role as co-conservator, Trawick will have shared control over all the singer’s major personal decisions, from finances to medical care. That would include the 15-million-dollar contract she’s reportedly negotiating to join Simon Cowell as a judge on ‘The X Factor’. ANI
