Mumbai: Salman Khan has mentored a number of aspiring actors and the latest to have made it big is Arjun Kapoor. Son of producer Boney, the ‘Ishaqzaade’ star was encouraged to take up acting and he was given that much needed support to shed his weight.
The young actor, who weighed over 140 kilos, turned fab from flab, courtesy Salman Khan. Arjun had even recently stated what Salman means to him. Arjun said, “He (Salman) said you will wake up 10 years from now regretting not giving acting a try. Give it your best shot. The worst that can happen is that you won`t make it as an actor, but at least you have to try.” And the next in line to find Sallu’s support are Aditya Panscholi`s son Sooraj and Suniel Shetty`s daughter Athiya. The two star kids will reportedly make their debut in the official remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 blockbuster ‘Hero’ that starred Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri. Filmmaker Ghai has sold the film’s rights to Salman Khan and it is just a matter of time for the film to go on floors. Salman has helped many make and resurrect their careers in Bollywood and if all goes well, we may see Sooraj and Athiya emerging as the next big superstars.
