Mumbai: Executive President of Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray came out in support of the Mumbai Cricket Association and said that the ban it had imposed on actor Shah Rukh Khan from entering the Wankhede Stadium for the next five years is justified. The politician stated that he had no personal animosity against the actor, but since he had misbehaved with the officials at the stadium on Wednesday night, the ban was apt. When it was pointed out to him that the BCCI was yet to take a decision on the matter, Thackeray said, “Himmat hai kuch karne ko? They will just have to accept MCA’s decision.” Earlier the party stated in its mouthpiece ‘Saamna’ , “Shah Rukh Khan has been insulted several times by the security at American airports but we didn't see him lose his cool there. The rich make their own law in this country, which is why he shoved around a security guard." It further added, "Saif received a Padma for indulging in a brawl in a hotel. Now Shah Rukh Khan will at least be made a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha... He was supposed to be handed a life ban from the MCA.. Now it's only for 5 years. "If pressure comes from Delhi, it will be further reduced to 5 minutes. Shah Rukh Khan should stay away from such brawls and stop abusing people. He should not try and make a 'My Name Is Khan' out of the episode at Wankhade." This isn’t the first time that the actor has had to face the wrath of the party. The party had criticised the actor earlier when he had included Pakistani cricketers in his team in 2010. The party had tried to stop the viewing of SRK’s film ‘My Name is Khan’ which had released around that time. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner, actress Juhi Chawla stood by her friend and business partner SRK and tweeted, “If today SRK were to get upset and quit the IPL I wonder if there d be any people watching the matches .. In wankhede or any stadium !!!(sic)” Juhi further added, “Seriously ... So much of the sparkle in IPL is the presence of the stars! !!(sic)” Shah Rukh Khan was banned from the Wankhede stadium for 5 years by MCA after the actor allegedly abused and misbehaved with MCA officials on Wednesday night. The actor had said that he had reacted in such a manner as his children were manhandled.
