Volkswagen Group Night saw the debuts and unveiling of many new cars from the Volkswagen Group at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Here’s a list of the most exciting cars that the German conglomerate’s sub-brands had on display.

The Volkswagen Group night is always a much talked about event at the European auto shows. It’s where VW gets to flex its muscles with its huge brand portfolio and showcases what each of those brands have in their respective product pipelines. This year at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015, the VW Group had all of its big brands showcase new and updated products. Let’s take a look at some of the biggest names on show and tell you about these new products.

Bentley

Bentley has stepped into the luxury SUV segment with the Bentayga. The Bentayga is all set to become the world’s fastest and most expensive production SUV that is powered by an all new twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine that puts out 602PS of power and a massive 663lb of torque. All this power will result in the Bentley having a top speed of 301kmph. Bentley has achieved all of this without sacrificing what it’s know for; opulence and luxury. The car will be as luxurious as its sedan siblings and there will be a long list of customization options that buyers will be able to choose from.

Audi

Audi showcased its all-new e-Tron Quattro Concept. This new concept from Audi has been designed to take on Tesla’s Model X head-on. From the detail and specs of this concept, Audi claims that this car will have a 500km range thanks to a large lithium-ion battery pack that is located between both axels. Another noteworthy feature is that the rear wheels get two separate motors whereas the front wheels get power from just one motor, making this a 3 motor set up for the car. Audi also showed off a new SQ5 TDI Plus and an S8 Plus both of which will come with new engines.

Bugatti

Bugatti has released its insane Vision Gran Turismo concept. This car has been created for the game Gran Turismo 6 and has been built as a one-off special for the Frankfurt Motor show. Some of the elements on the car indicate and hint at what the successor of the Veyron will look like which is set to be released sometime next year.

Lamborghini

The Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Spyder has also been unveiled. It features the same 5.2-litre V10 engine as the coupe, delivering an equal 602hp of power and 413Nm of torque. Unlike its competitors, the Ferrari 488 Spider and McLaren 650S Spider, the Huracan Spyder features a folding soft top. According to Lamborghini chief Stephan Winklemann, removing the roof from the Hurucan takes the drive experience to a whole new level of excitement.

Porsche

A surprise offering at the Volkswagen Group Night was the Porsche Mission-E Concept. Following the success of the Porsche 918 Spyder and Porsche’s Le Mans racing program, Porsche’s engineers worked on their first all-electric drivetrain. With over 602PS (440 kW) of power and a 500 km driving range, the system is definitely Porsche material. The Porsche Mission E accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds, partly due to its all-wheel-drive system. Porsche also showed its face lifted 2016 Porsche 911 model.

Volkswagen

Volkswagen has unveiled its all new second generation Tiguan compact crossover SUV at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto show, that is all set for Indian markets late next year in 2016. The Tiguan has and will be a much-awaited product for the currently red-hot SUV segment in our market. So over all there has been a lot of buzz from the Volkswagen Group and we just hope that most of these products find their way into the group’s Indian portfolio.

Stay tuned for more details on these upcoming cars.
