Shraddha Kapoor all set to essay Saina Nehwal

Mumbai: Shraddha Kapoor is all set to essay Saina Nehwal in a biopic based on the badminton champion’s life.

Directed by Amol Gupte, the film will be produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar.

Shraddha, who is gearing up for the release of ‘Haseena’ a film based on Dwaood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar, will get an opportunity to be a part of another biopic.

Confirming the news, Shraddha while talking to TOI said, “Most girls have played badminton at some point in their lives in school. I feel so lucky to be playing Saina, who's not just been the world's No. 1 badminton player, but is also a youth icon. I can't wait to start prepping for my role.”

Bollywood producers are indeed smitten by the idea of producing biopics based on the life of sportsmen. After ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Mary Kom’, ‘Azhar’, ‘M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story’, ‘Dangal’, it would indeed be interesting to see Saina’s success story being narrated on celluloid.
