Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut, who had injured herself badly on the sets of ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, hasn’t been able to report to work yet. The immensely talented actress, who wanted to resume work on Saturday, just four days after suffering a deep cut on her forehead, couldn’t turn up unfortunately.

According to a report in DNA, “After the accident last Tuesday, Kangana has not turned up for shooting at all. She was supposed to resume on Saturday. And that was her wish. The Manikarnika team has been waiting. But Kangana decided to take some days off as a precautionary measure. She’s expected to resume shooting by the end of this week.”

The injury was so bad that she got seventeen stitches and is yet to recover completely.

She is essaying the role of Rani Lakshmi Bai in the epic film directed by Krish. The film will also features method actor Atul Kulkarni and marks the debut of TV actress Ankita Lokhande.


The biopic of the brave Indian Queen, who fought the British forces, is slated to release on April 27 next year.
