The movie is based in pre-independence era and tells the story of a boy who lands up a job in the british government.
Firangi is Kapil's second film and was much-awaited by his fans.
The movie is off to a rather slow start as it collected Rs. 2.10 Crore on day 1.

Firangi also stars Drishyam actor Ishita Dutta. The movie is directed by Rajiev Dhingra and Kapil produced the movie himself.
