‘Dangal’ girl Sanya Malhotra bags Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Manmarziyan’

Mumbai: After Fatima Sana Shaikh, ‘Dangal’ girl Sanya Malhotra has bagged her second film. The girl, who played Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan’s blockbuster film, has been roped in by Anurag Kashyap for Aanand L Rai’s ‘Manmarziyan’.

According to a report in DNA, sources have said that Sanya will play the female lead while newcomer Jassie Gill will star opposite her in the film directed by Kashyap and produced by Aanand L Rai.

The film was previously in news too! Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar were on board as the lead actors and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari was about to direct it. But the project was put on hold for some time for reasons best known to the makers.

The project will go on floors in December and will be shot in northern India.
