Mumbai: Ajay Devgn's Raid may not have had an impressive start at the Box Office on Friday last week, but the film has been drawing audiences to the theatres through a massive word-of-mouth publicity since then. The film directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, has minted over Rs 41 crores in the first three days.

Trade analyst and movie critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the impressive Box Office collection figures of the film.

He posted: "Raid gets a THUMBS UP from audiences... Witnesses SOLID GROWTH on Sat + Sun... Strong word of mouth helps multiply numbers, after a mediocre start on Fri morning... Emerges SECOND HIGHEST WEEKEND of 2018... Fri 10.04 cr, Sat 13.86 cr, Sun 17.11 cr. Total: ₹ 41.01 cr. India biz. (sic)."

The film is just about Rs 9 crores short of the Rs 50 crore mark if it continues with the same pace, it will enter the Rs 100 crore club in the next 3-4 days.

Ajay Devgn's realistic drama - Raid - a film directed by Raj Kumar Gupta which released on Friday last week, has garnered rave reviews from critics. The non-masala film also stars Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D'Cruz.

Set in the backdrop of India in the 1980s, the film is based on one of the most high profile raids the country has ever seen.
