'Aiyaary' opens to a dismal start, mints Rs 3.36 crore on Day 1

After winning over the audience with thrillers like 'Naam Shabana', 'Rustom', filmmaker Neeraj Pandey is back with yet another suspense thriller which released on February 16. Unfortunately, the film received scathing reviews and had a rather dismal start with collections of only Rs 3.36 crores on Day 1.

Sharing the collections of Day 1, film critic and trade analyst wrote on Twitter, "#Aiyaary has a DULL Day 1... Opening day biz is lower than Sidharth Malhotra’s last two films: #AGentleman [₹ 4.04 cr] and #Ittefaq [₹ 4.05 cr]… Evening/night shows were slightly better... Sat and Sun biz is extremely crucial... Fri ₹ 3.36 cr. India biz."

Whereas the film has fared well in the International market, confirming the gross earnings, Adarsh wrote, "#Aiyaary has fared comparatively better Overseas... Day 1 total stands at approx $ 417,000 [₹ 2.68 cr]…
Was best in UAE-GCC: Thu $ 97,000, Fri $ 137,000
#NaamShabana was approx $ 336,000 on Day 1 in international markets."
