Aamir Khan's Thugs Of Hindostan to release in China on December 28
Despite the poor show on home turf, the makers hope to mint big with the film in China.
Aamir Khan's latest release 'Thugs of Hindostan', which failed to deliver any magic at the Box Office, has been confirmed to release in China. The film is all set to hit the Chinese screens on 28 December, two weeks after the release of Akshay Kumar's 'Padman' on 14 December.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on his Twitter handle besides sharing posters of Vijay Acharya's magnum opus meant for China release. He wrote, "Date finalised... #TOH to release in #China on 28 Dec 2018... Official posters for #China."

In another tweet, he said, "#China, as a film market, is akin to the goose that lays golden eggs, but you cannot expect every #Indian film to strike gold at #ChinaBO... While #102NotOut has fizzled out, hopes are pinned on the next two #Hindi releases: #PadMan [14 Dec] and #TOH [28 Dec]... Fingers crossed!"

After amassing Rs 52 crore on its opening day, 'Thugs of Hindostan' failed to impress the audience and saw a massive drop in collections and tanked at the Indian box office. The film received generally negative reviews and was criticised for its average VFX effects. The negative word of mouth publicity further affected the numbers.
Aamir Khan was quoted at an event saying, "I take full responsibility for Thugs not working with the audience. I think we went wrong. But I would like to take full responsibility for that. We certainly tried our best. We didn’t leave any stone unturned in our efforts. But somewhere, we went wrong."
Produced by Aditya Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film was one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies this year. It was widely panned by the audience and critics.
