The girl was allegedly assaulted after she objected to the factory owner's harassment
BHOPAL: A 19-year-old girl was brutally beaten up by a factory owner after she accused him of harassment. The entire incident, which took place in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar on January 1, 2018, was captured on CCTV video.
The accused has been absconding, said the police.
In the video, a man – identified as the factory owner – is seen kicking and punching the teenage girl on the floor.
At least three people are seen trying to protect the victim and stop the man from hitting.
The man also seems to be threatening the victim who's almost passed out due to the physical assault.
The girl was assaulted after she reportedly objected to the factory owner's harassment.
"He was behaving very weirdly and I was not comfortable with it. When I said that I am going to tell about this to my parents, he threatened me and said that his company will shut down if something like this happens," said the victim.
"I came home and narrated this incident to my parents. My mother said that she will talk to him, but couldn't go. I just wanted to know why he was making such comments and so I went to meet him. It is when the owner caught me and thrashed me", she added.
A police investigation is currently underway.
