The Spicejet Q400 plane had to make an unplanned landing in Mumbai after the windshield of its aircraft cracked mid-air, as reported by PTI. The crack in the windshield was discovered at a height of 23,000 feet in the sky. The incident occurred with flight SG3324 going from Kandla to Mumbai. This is the second emergency landing of a Spicejet plane for the day. Earlier another Spicejet aircraft going from Dubai to Delhi had to make an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan because of a technical issue in the aircraft. To be specific the plane faced the problem of unusual fuel quantity reduction during its flight.

Moreover, this is at least the seventh incident of technical malfunction happening on SpiceJet aircraft in the last 17 days. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is investigating the two incidents which took place on Tuesday, along with the previous five incidents, the DGCA officials noted.

Officials said the Kandla-Mumbai flight of SpiceJet was at 23,000 feet altitude when the windshield's outer pane cracked. The pilots then conducted priority landing at the Mumbai airport, they said.
