IndiGo Delhi-Vadodara flight diverted to Jaipur due to engine vibrations, DGCA orders probe

The Indigo flight from Delhi, was landed in Jaipur as a precautionary measure because of vibrations in the engine of the aircraft, DGCA has begun a probe of the incident, reports ANI.

Adding to the series of technical malfunctions in the flight last night Indigo flight going from Delhi to Vadodara was diverted to make a landing in Jaipur, Rajasthan as a precautionary measure. Based on the reports the flight had vibrations in the engine. Aviation watchdog authority DGCA has taken note of the situation and ordered a probe into the incident. In the recent past, there have been multiple incidents of technical problems in flights from various airlines leading to emergency or diverted landings.

In the past, DGCA issued a show-cause notice for the airlines regarding multiple emergency landings. It is to be noted that such incidents raise concerns about the safety of the flights and passengers on board as well.

Meanwhile, Indigo along with other airlines has been struggling with its employees regarding 'mass sick leave. Recently, IndiGo released a statement saying that they are in constant dialogue with its employees to take care of any issues or grievances.

The airline’s statement comes after a sizeable number of the airline’s aircraft maintenance technicians went on sick leave to protest against their low salaries and demand restoration of salaries that were slashed during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"As a responsible employer, IndiGo is in constant dialogue with its employees to take care of any issues or grievances. The aviation industry has undergone a difficult phase over the last 24+ months. As business recovers, we are in the process of addressing some of the issues related to employee remuneration. This is an ongoing activity and we will continue to take employee feedback in the process," Indigo said in a statement. 

IndiGo also said that the airline's operations will continue to be normal, with the addition of several new destinations to their network.
